We camped in tents, had a couple conversion vans where no matter where we stopped, there were very unclean rest stops, ate food from other states that when prepped was not what it was suppose to be..yuck! Worrying about our doggies with sitter or kennel. Got our class A we felt free. Doggies travel with us and love it, we don't have to worry about our beds, bathroom accomodations, cooking...we are covered with all that we would need at home. Our first year we had a couple come to our site looking for a something to open a bottle of wine with a cork....low and behold I packed my husbands boy scout knife, had a cork screw on it....we still have same class A eleven years later, boy scout knife still in it.
So much more freedom with the comforts of home including the meals you're used to eating. Coming and going almost as you please. Meet many new friends, huge windshield to take in the scenery. Wish we could be in our class A full time.
Still with gas prices, I don't pay for a hotel with noisy neighbors, diners where there is a chance of not so good food, kennels and mostly inconvenience of packing and unpacking a clothes from vehicle at every stop then repacking when needing to continue. We only do that with our chairs that take out to be around the campfire.
