As I read the question from the OP, it was "why do you own a class A?" Meaning vs other RV types? Many of the responses given can be the same in just about any camper or more specifically any motor driven RV. (Class A, DP, C, B)
So to answer why a class A? I had 2 class C previously and the biggest things that I liked about the class A we have now that are different are:
1. way more room inside
2. Far more storage available inside and out, especially basement
3. As mentioned, the front of cab area is less restrictive and that massive windshield allows you to see the world.
4. Better floor plans available
5. Better standard features
6. Water tank is above the basement, less cold weather issues.
My class A I bought new, and it is an entry level Gasser that for me was still a lot of money and will need to last as my wife is retired and i am semi retired, lost my business a year ago and i turn 60 in a year. So my class A is a 2008 and paid for in full! Learning to do as much work on it as it as I can.
