PS. We have no propane or Onan generator.
how do you get AC on road in humid south, like for the pets when in a restaurant?
does anyone know how long you can run an AC in a rig like davydd 's where there is no generator? i assume it is not legal to leave engine running w/ doors locked and pets inside w/ AC on.
I'm guessing I could easily run our air conditioning for 5 hours or so. I have no plans to ever do so.
Batteries and inverter only running the Coleman Mach 8 rooftop AC. - burlmartExplorerrooftop using inverter, or chassis dash w/ engine running?

I have remote start set to run an hour. I leave the pets inside with the AC on and doors locked. I do try to get into shade and shop very early in morning when it is coolest. But I do have a handicapped sticker. Now other MH do have their generators running in parking lots outside grocery stores and I dont think they are bothered. - burlmartExploreri have a clue as to the OP"s question about this forum.
davydd said he had no genset in his hi-electrical-tech rig, and that really interests me if you can run the roof AC on modern batteries or if he can legally leave the engine on to run chassis AC while in a restaurant in hot summer. i was disappointed 10 yrs back when sportsmobile explained that you cannot.burlmart wrote:

I currently have 2 vans but you have to jump on a good deal.
- bsinmichExplorerI am a new owner of a B as well as an A owner. Just for fun I looked through the local Craigslist last September and saw a '95 Roadtrek pictured. I recognized it as belonging to a neighbor. I called him and said I was interested. I had just lost my wife and the Mountain Aire is a little overkill for me. I bought it before even putting the other one up for sale. After checking a few different places like Alaska marine ferry and New Foundland ferry I found it much cheaper to take the RT. I don't need a toad. I get 16 mpg with the RT and ferry prices are the same as a car. It came from KY and had no rust and also included all paperwork and service records since new. As soon as some of our snow disappears The Mountain Aire goes up for sale. Both have been stored inside all of their lives and it makes a huge difference in them. I have a lot of summer planned for the RT. My only problem is I am a slow earner. Back when I had boats I learned to sell the old one first. I didn't do it then and this is the 4th time I have ended up with 2 MHs at the same time.
