Why not two 12 volt batteries
Need to replace my 4 6 volt batteries,was thinking why 4 6 volt and not 2 12 volt. Reasons?

Putting two 12 volt batteries together, you double the amp hours but the volts remain unchanged.
Putting two 6 volt batteries together, you double the volts, but the amp hours remain unchanged.
By using 12 volt batteries, you could easily achiever much greater amp hour capacity than using 6 volt batteries.
