Why so many blowouts?

I am happy that so many of you never had a blowout. Everyone has an idea why tires blow out, many are correct. But my blow out, left front at 65 mph, was due to the faulty 2 ply sidewalls on the Michelin XRV tires that came new on my coach. The inside sidewall developed a bubble, not seen but felt in the steering wheel. In the five minutes it took me to realize the problem, the tire blew out.
So you see it is not always the fault of the owner not maintaining his tires. Michelin had a problem with the XRV tires blowing out on the 2 ply sidewalls.
