If you are having problems driving too close to the right side try a trick I did for a newbie friend of mine. Drive on a flat stretch of highway close to the white line on the drivers side and mark a spot on the dash by the windshield with a piece of tape where the white line intersects the dash.(hope you understand what I am describing). Then when you drive just line up the white line to the piece of tape and you will be where you need to be. It worked for him. I hardly ever ride on the right side but when I have it scares me too. Totally different perspective.
I second this approach. You can also put a piece of scotch tape on the windshield about a foot long. It's transparent, but you can still see it there. Go to a parking lot with clear lines for the cars, and park at the empty end so you can see three or four "lanes" in front of you.
Pick two spots on the windshield...one about 2ft up, the other near the bottom, that both intersect the left hand lines on the parking spaces out in front of you. The tape will be angled to the right a bit.
That gives you a guide that should line up with the centerline of the highway when you're driving, and will keep you in the right alignment in the lane.
And yeah, she'll likely get over it. First time my wife road in our rig, I pulled out of our driveway and made a wide left turn. There's a ditch across the street from the driveway. She let out a YELP...thought for sure we were going into the ditch. We laughed about that a lot on subsequent trips. It DOES take some getting used to, and she still doesn't like bridges, but she doesn't like bridges when we're in the car either...the motorhome makes it a bit more intense though.
