That's BS. Try any maneuver that would be a piece of cake with a toad, that is not over the load rating, and then try that same swerve with an overloaded trailer.
Sure going straight may be fine, but any situation that may require a quick correction of the steering wheel will get disastrous in an instant.
Don't give anyone the impression that the ONLY problem will be braking. Those of us with a few miles under our belts know better and have seen the results on the highways.
