Hi all--thanks so much for all your input! Knew I could depend on this community to respond with knowledgeable answers. As far as my friend goes, I might as well try to talk to the wall as to try to convince him that he should rethink his setup. I use the term "stubbornly stupid" to describe his usual behavior in most matters, and as we all know, you can't cure stupid! Best I can do at this point is pray for his safety and the safety of others on the road. Sure makes me more aware of all the dangers out there as I pilot my RV down the highways and byways!
