In the Carvewright designersoftware. Just add wood :)

Yup, that is what many of us have done. Personally, we are not fans of the foo-foo/granny look many manufacturers provide. Prefer simpler, cleaner look.

Looks like we are making our own. The originals are 4 layers of thin plywood, each with a separate fabric cover. I couldn't take apart without ruining. So, I get to build new boxes and the DW will cover with fabric she has already purchased. I'll post pics as soon as we have a couple of them complete.

With some fabric and a stapler you can recover your own window valances in a couple of hours.

DH and I are in the process of doing a window remodel in our Bus. The box valance/cornice's are just too much for us. We built this one and will do the rest over the winter.
This is a work in progress but we really like the open look that we think this will create. We opted not to go with fabric as we really could not find anything that appealed to us. So we built these and painted them.

My sister took their down and had them recovered. Turned out beautiful. They bought the fabric and took it to an upholstery shop. They also had their dining chair seats recovered in the same fabric as the valances. They also removed their sofa and had it reupholstered at an upholstery shop in a different solid fabric.
