I give up on Windex, also. When I was a kid, it had "Ammonia-D" and didn't leave streaks, smudges in the sunshine, or look like I used grease on the windshield on those foggy mornings. Today's Windex has no ammonia and is pretty much a junk product on glass...especially automotive glass where seeing clearly at all times is the name of the game. I've been using straight vinegar, and sometimes 50/50 vinegar/water spray.
