windsheild wiper mystery Itasca 1992 GM

Here is what it does . motorhome sits for 7 + days . and you go to start it.
you turn the keey . you here clicking right off windshield wiper starts up and switch is off ( switch for wipers is on the blinker handle ) . play with switch keeps clicking and moving window shield wipers . and they start and stop and click for 30 secs to 2 mins after motor is running . then they stop and sometimes I have to turn switch on and off to get them back in the down position . after engine runs for 3 + mins it dont do it again. anyone know what causes this . and yes Im starting it off the engine battery . not the rv batteries . :h

    Craziness with wiper .. now get this it don't do it anymore after tightening alt belt . and running motor more . so it does it when batteries low . but not low enough so it don't start the engine .
    but low enough to make wiper go goofy . also I'm going to wire my front radio to coach batteries only as I think playing radio lower voltage in front batteries. My switch that says its hooked to coach batteries is lying to me. radio has sirus xm and stuff and I think its a power sucker 50 w stereo 10amp 12v . always something :)

    Thanks for the tip I will look in to it. sure moisture and time has took its toll on the contacts . was just looking whole replacement
    about 50-60 bucks . my luck its a special one $$$$$ :)

    Older 70's---80's vintage had a plastic cover that you could pop off the gearbox assy and either clean or bend/adjust the contacts. Not sure about the more modern units.

    Is this like full replacement or switch replacement or a switch cleaning ?
