We always put up a shield, but do so from the inside versus on the outside of the windshield. A lot easier when it is raining or when you pull out in the morning. It is all done from the inside. The cover came with the RV.
Do you use yor windshield cover only while camping or when stored at home as well?
Our unit is stored indoors when not out on the road, thus the windshield cover is not needed.
