Jul 19, 2013On our RoadTrek/Chevrolet we had an Adco cover and it worked out well. With the cover on, the curtains did not have to be closed and keeping the sun out made it cooler inside. When we traded in on a Sprinter, the old cover was not a perfect fit, so we ordered one at Camping world. It has a good fit and quality. But, don't make the mistake I made. I got a grey cover instead of white. The built-in retractable shades do a pretty good job on privacy and reflecting away the heat. The grey matches the RV and blends in well, looks real good. However, it converts more sunlight to heat than the white cover does and since it lays directly on the glass, it transfers the heat to the glass and the glass radiates the heat into the cab of the van. I am almost convinced that this arrangement is worse than if I just draw the built in shades. So, I guess this would be good to use in the winter. If the cover was made like an insulating blanket or I had a way to provide and air gap between the cover and the windshield, that would fix the problem. FYI
