Windshield wipers will no shut off.

1993 Itasca Sunrise windshield wipers will not shut off.. I here it may be the ground. Where is the ground so I can spray and clean. Also on the same switch is the cruise control not working. As I wad driving the other day everything started working, but now it is bad again.?????

  • take all the connectors to the wiper motor apart, clean, put together and water proof them.
  • What chassis? Ford or Chevy. On a Chevy water could have got in the wiper motor connector or the cable for the steering wheel could be chaffed, check the bottom of the steering column. Several years ago people posted about the issue here. Don't know about Fords.
  • I had that problem on a car I once owned. The problem was the ground wire. I don't know where your ground wire is, but if you find the wiper motor and start tracing wires you should find where the ground wire attaches to the frame. Intermittent electrical problems are hard to trace and can be caused by a loose connection. JMO
