I have had mine act flakey at times. When it would not lock, I used the menu to watch signal strength and it would find a good signal, but the a few seconds later, it would move and begin the search sounds again. If I was stationary, I could cut the power to the antenna at the switch while it was showing good signal strength (had to be quick) and I had great reception. Of course, it was not functioning as in motion. Later, at another location it worked normallly. I am at a loss to explain and this has happened a couple of times out west.
