Have you completed a Calibrate EL routine? If not, do so. You will also want to disconnect the control cable for the back of the inside controller and reconnect to see if the problem goes away. Plug it in and out a couple of times to get a good connection.
If that does not work, if you can, go up on the roof and remove the cover plate at the base with 4 screws (above the cable exits). Very gently pull on the control cable leading inside the antenna. After about 6" you will see another connector just like the one inside. Disconnect and reconnect this a couple of times and try it again. If this works then you have found the problem. Before you put it all back together, squirt a tiny bit of di-electric grease in the 6 holes in that plug and push it back together and reassemble. It's likely the last time you will have that problem.
