Winnebago Journey 2002 Can't Find J Port - HELP HELP

Just bought a Scangauge D to be installed in my Journey 2002. Searched under the dash high and low, can not find the J Port. Called both
Winny and Freightliner, both say "it's in there", but i can't find it. I have searched both from top and bottom to no avail. Anyone with a journey that has found their's, please HELP HELP with a more detailed LOCATION, ect.

  • I believe that's the same foot rest that they hid the surround sound amp under. I guess that explains why we never found mine.
  • On other threads about this same topic, especially in the same era of coach, some folks had to remove a foot rest and, it was under that. On our coach, an '04 Itasca Horizon 36GD with the C-7 330HP CAT, it was mounted way low and to the left on the fire wall, next to my foot rest. I moved it to a much more user-friendly position, right next to the steering wheel hanging under the dash. It's not in the way, just easier to access if and when needed.

I had a 2002 Journey DL and the gray port/connector is mounted to the firewall just to the left of the brake pedal. It is buried in the maze of wires under there. You just have to dig around to find it but it is there. Just keep moving the wire bundles around until you see it. It has a cap on it.

    Yup
Had 2003 journey dl.. As stated left of the brake pedal on the metal firewall behind a zillion bundled wires.. Round with a grey twist cap cover

  • I once owned a 2003 Journey DL and never found the port under the dash either. They must have done a good job of hiding it because FL couldn't find it either.
