I wonder if the OP had someone inspect the coach first and if the potential problem would have been found. From the design diagram I would guess even the smallest failure of the sealant/adhesive is going to have catastrophic effects once the wind forces of travel get up and under the fiberglass and it acts like a sail. Really surprised the fiberglass isn't under the awning rail and mechanically held to the sidewall. I guess the design works but it really looks like a

Insurance should pay to return the coach to as close to new condition as economically possible the same as if this was an accident with a car. Expect this to be covered under the comprehensive coverage of a policy.
