I was thinking this might be under the "structure" side of the possible warranty but if the OP never registered as the second owner I'm not sure there are any options available.
Warranty items can be difficult but the own must follower the builders requirements. Transmission falls out while going down the road and you have no receipts for recommended/required maintenance, well you're between a rock and a hard place regarding a claim.
