Winterizing problem with water pump

I had that problem once. I refilled the water tank a third full to make sure
I had enough to pump. It took the pump about 1 minute to pump water. I had a
good air lock or bubble in the system. I then drained the water, by-passed the
water heater, and added 3 gallons of pink to the fresh water tank. I then ran
the faucets till I had pink coming out of all of them. This also takes care of
the drain traps. Good luck, it might just be an air lock.
