Effy you'll need to test your TV to find out if an amp is needed. Some will have a volume control output but you'll need to check. I guess you don't have a radio/CD player built into the bedroom which would have made this pretty easy.
I was thinking the same thing. I'll test it all before I chase the wires or amp it. No I don't have a radio back there. That would have been way too easy.
Don't just latch on to what you want to hear effy. That will not work and in some rare cases can damage your output on your TV. Bring a small speaker in there and splice it into those RCA outs if you really need confirmation.
The right way to do it is with that A/B selector that someone linked and a small amp like the one I linked.
I hear you. I may just get a sound bar and forget tapping into the speakers. it's nice to leverage what you have but it if means more work and the same money I have to step back. Thanks for the explanation.
That's a good idea really or a decent boombox with RCA or Phono Jack inputs. I'm not familiar enough with he ACE rear TV placement. The soundbars with wireless subwoofers are nice if you have a place to mount the bar.
