I think it's both young families and new retirees, along with multi-generation family groups. We've been on the road for two months out west, and there sure are loads of shiny new units in the campgrounds. Several times people have pulled in next to our site and the owners mention they just picked it up and are new to RVing.
Also we've seen an incredible number of rental RVs this year compared to past trips west -maybe double. So those are soaking up available sites in the most desirable places. They've been mostly Cs, but Canadian rental companies are also renting a lot of Class Bs.
