It sure would be nice to have more RV Parks to choose from.
So many parks are in rough shape, look tired and just not kept up. Probably, many parks just need new owners to spruce them up and expand them.
We bypassed the Los Angeles area years ago as the three parks that I located along our route through RV.parkreviews had low scores. So, I just pressed on to get back to our Southern California location. I just don't want to give my good money to a run-down RV park.
As IVY stated above, a lot of us have big holding tanks and a dry spot at an RV Park would work fine for us when passing through for a night. Mainly, just having a safe place to park vs. a side street or retail parking lot.
There was a nice bare-bones RV park along I-40 near Shamrock, TX. As I recall, it was called I-40 RV Park. A very nice older couple apparently owned/operated this park for many years. Our last stop there a few years ago showed the 'lady' advancing in age and becoming frail.
The park is now closed and it was such a convenient stop for us over the years. I was hoping the kids or grandkids would have continued the RV Park but they didn't.
Safe travels,
MM.
