Wonder how long my 8.1 should last
I have a 35' 2002 Southwind with the 8.1 engine. It has 96k miles.Oil and filter changed every 3k miles as well as greased. Engine not run over 4k rpm. Just wondering how many more miles I can hopeful...

Only time can answer that. I've rarely had a vehicle fail because of the engine itself. Usually when I get rid of a driver it is not because of the engine, but other things such as the transmission and overall assessment of age and things falling apart.
