workhorse auto park actuator u seal

workhorse auto park actuator leaking. repaired leak. found new U seal. spec 1 1/8 x 1 1/8 x5/16 loaded cost $5.05. Can find at( theoringstore.com ) part number P187-01.125-312B This goes in the smaller actuator that has the GRAY pressure switch attached. this hyd actuator applies pressure to the spring that releases the auto park. their is only a few bolts that whole this on. no problem removing. disconnect the elect leads and one hyd line fitting to the unit. remove and unscrew the actuator push the piston out and replace seal. then put it back. my seal was bad and leaking between the two cylinders where they mated. I have a 2003 workhorse condor P32 chassis You might want too put a small pan on the ground to catch what hyd fluid come out.
  • Thought I would pass along want happen to me . I got lucky and found a seal that worked and make a repair on the road. I will keep and eye on it and go from there. Added. Mine was leaking a little but it went out on the road and drained the fluid and locked me up.
  • Thanks for the tip! My 2001 has a slight seep of oil by the actuator (it's always oily around it). I don't have to add hardly any oil but it kind of worries me. How bad was yours leaking?
