I would buy the newest and best maintained vehicle you find. If you buy an old Chevy, Ford, Dodge you are also buying an old stove, an old water heater and old plumbing and electrical systems. An RV is more than just a motor and chassis, which may be easier and cheaper to repair than the "house" systems.
