I have a 1996 MH on a P30 chassis(same as yours) in 10 years of ownership I have spent about $6000 in repairs and mods. If you do your own work you will probably put $5000 or less to get it in camping condition if your chassis( eng, transmission, and front end) is in decent condition. Can you just recoat you roof or is it torn with multiple holes in it? No MH is worth the investment , but if you check Nada it is probably worth about $10,000 or less so starting with free you probably won't invest more than it's worth. You will learn a lot about MH,s and the appliances working on it. If you keep it several years you will find out if the life style is for you and what you want on your next MH.
