Might as well join the fray.
We started with a Class 'A' with no slides. With 4 grandkids, 2 dogs, and 2 of us it was fairly tight. Did it work yes, it worked very well.
We upgraded to a 2 slide and it is SO MUCH better. The RV has just as much room with the slides in as the old 'No Slide' RV. Floor plan heavily weighs on your ability to move around with the slides in. We looked at quite a few RV's that with the slides in you were very limited on what you can do. We don't fulltime yet, but we do camp at least once a month all year.
