It all really comes down (as most things here do) to how you use the RV. If you mostly go to wide open boondocking spaces, commercial campgrounds, etc. then slides are hard to beat.
If, like us, you mostly go to smaller COE campgrounds, State Parks, overnight stays in truck stops or Walmarts on the road, slides are much less attractive.
