- toedtoesExplorer IIII would add that my boss has a Sprinter that he personally customized into a B. His Sprinter and my Clipper are the same length, his Sprinter is taller, my Clipper is wider. For that little difference in size dimensions, the Clipper's layout works much better for me than his Sprinter would - but the Clipper would have never worked for him. He does get better mileage by far, but I have the ability to take in an overnight guest and have moving room with the dogs.
So, I think folks should consider both and work out the pros and cons for how they intend on using it - then make the decision that's right for them. - tjfogelbergExplorerOur 27' Class C is our 3rd RV. 2 dogs and 2 adults for up to 60 days at a time and we have plenty of room. We can camp and park almost anywhere. Neither of us ever drove truck or anything big but quickly learned and love driving the Class C. It's the perfect "middle of the road" for us. B is too small and an A is too big.

'02 Honda CRV in tow - gypsyhoundsExplorerI am a single person in a pw Lexor. I have considered a small C and looked at them. I am attracted to a dinet area always there and a slightly larger fridge. I have never really filled my waste tanks on 2 week trips but I try not to using available resources.
Leveling? I use a few cut pieces of ply wood when needed. Still always want the bed to the rear so the dogs can travel in total comfort lol.
Would miss the ease of parking and gas mileage of a b.
I plan to be full timing in a couple months. My needs may change! But so far the B has been perfectly perfect since 2006.
There is always a compromise. Only you know your needs. - IslandmanExplorerWe used to have a nice PW Excel, now have a small C (23 ft. Coach House) and like it better especially when camped in a spot for a few days. The bigger bathoom in a C is a true plus feature also. Mileage isn't quite as good as the PW was but everything else is better.
- ryegatevtExplorer IIWe tried a small C when we bought our RT. We were put off by the rattles, shakes, and lack of foot room in the cockpit. We might be interested in a B+ though...
- jjson775ExplorerFor us the shower was the main incentive to upsize to a B+.
- DavyddExplorerWe are closing in on 24,000 miles in five months on the road so far this year. I can think of several places, roads and incidences where I would not want anything bigger than our Sprinter Van.
Dinette? We have that but generally eat outside every chance we get.
Refrigerator? We have a 6.8 cf Novakool 2door compressor refrigerator/freezer. That is plenty big for two people.
Leveling Jacks? Over 130 nights on the road and we have used the Lego like leveling blocks just twice.
We seldom plug into shore power even when it is available with 800ah lithium ion batteries. Our B looks closer to an airport shuttle van than an RV. This allows us to park in many places a small Class C would still scream RV. - mkguitarExplorerNope.
the size of our campervan is a winner.
easy to drive and park anywhere....dirt roads, narrow wooded areas, supermarket
Spouse can and has done solo trips to the California beaches.
(I have a 40' x 18' pad next to the house, we could have anything)
I spent years driving trucks and coaches---I'm happy to have a little van which fits us.
your mileage may vary
as for leveling, I have a set of the "lego" type 1 inch blocks.
the RVC Free iphone app quickly tells me which corner needs to come up and how much. easy
mike - 1775ExplorerWith what I know now, I would like to consider a small C over a B - but I did not consider one when I bought the B as it would not fit where I have to store it on my driveway and that has not changed. I like the idea of leveling jacks. Commercial campgrounds can be hit and miss as to level sites - even when they insist that the site they are giving you is level.
- applegaterExplorerWe went from a B to a small C. The reason we did less touring And wanted to stay up to a month in the same place. So we chose a LTV Serenity that gave us the closest handling to our Sprinter B. Now we are ready to do more touring again so we sold the Serenity and are having a B built by Advanced RV.
