Wraps

Since I got the interior all cleaned up and the new floor in the inside looks and feels nice. Now I'd like to get the exterior going to match. Has anyone wrapped their class C? How pricey was it?

I think a wrap would be the way to go since my paint has faded and I've got some delaminating going on. I realize this coach isn't going to last forever but I'd like to not look like cousin Eddie rolling up for a Griswold family Christmas everywhere I go. I had envisioned getting the sides, front cap and rear done, leaving the roof and van alone.

  • just went to a web site and saw the demo on installation of a wrap on a 14 ft jon boat. think I would pay for a paint job before tackling that my self.
    bumpy
  • I didn't expect it to help with the delamination, I only mentioned that to explain why I don't think paint would be cost effective. Lipstick on a pig mentality.

I haven't heard of the ZEP before. I'll definitely research it.

I guess I should mention that the basement storage area has been resprayed at some point and has faded as well. Basically the beltline down is not original paint.
  • Things to consider and it depends on how bad the paint is. I don't see how a wrap will help with the delamination.

Have you considered doing the ZEP Floor care process that is covered many times on this forum? It makes dull faded gel coat look great. I cleaned and cleaned my 2000 MH and applied 4-5 coats of floor wax to the entire motorhome (a Class A in my case)and the finish looks great. I also applied the floor wax to the faded black window trim and they look good too.
