Xantrex Lithium/Alternator/Inverter Package

Question

Xantrex and Coachmen have Partnered up in developing a Lithium/Alternator/Inverter Package for the 2018 Galleria. Package includes a 600 AH Battery, 280 AMP Alternator and a 3000 watt Pure Sine Wave Inverter. Package MSRP is $21,600. Depending on the response of new Customers, Package may become available on other Coachmen/Forest River Products. I'll be attending the Tampa RV Show January 17-21, to gather info and additional specs. Also, if there are plans to make the Package available to Authorized Upfitters.

Only $126 per month.  Good to go.  Sure self install of separate components would save money but then you need to cough up cash, wonder if you have it integrated right and worry if you chose equipment that will last.

What are they using for charging or is that built in to the inverter ?It had better have an integrated transfer switch fir that price !

Somebody is making a lot of money there ! The retail price of a pair of Relion RB300 batteries is about $8,000 retail. A Samlex 3000W inverter/charger/transfer switch (EVO-3012) is about $1,600 retail.

The rest is wire and labor.

If you live in the northern parts of the US, check out how well those batteries stand up to cold temperatures.  For some, charging below 32 degrees F will damage the batteries and exposure to temperatures below 14 F will destroy them.
