If you used Simple Green, instead of Extreme Simple Green, you need to go back and make sure that you rinse off every trace of the cleaner. Simple Green will attack aluminum if not rinsed off completely from every crack and crevice.
Extreme Simple Green is designed for aluminum and is available online or Home Depot.
My engine has always run cool, never look at that side of the radiator, perhaps I should. Sounds like water noise only maybe. Thanks for that tip on the simple green extreme. I always remind the local Rush Trucks about the fan shroud zerk when getting serviced. I tell them I will put the floor access hatch back myself. Of course I check to see that it was done. Their a top notch service place anyway. Even give free fluid analysis.
