Hi, I went through Chelly Canyon the other day and the roads where very muddy, yellow mud. The back of the RV became very dirty and I could not wash it right away, so it probably cooked on it. The side where OK, no problam to wash it.Now the back is heavily stained. I tried everything, rubbing compound, pre-wax cleaner, fiberglass cleaner, Awsome, Awsome citrus. So far the best thing was Comet soap with a scrubing pad, but enven then it takes forever to scrub a very small portion.Seems to me that the fiberglass is porous now. I was reading on using some vinegar and backing soda. Another one was to use dish soap, hydrogene peroxide and backing soda.Any options from your experience?

Be careful about using any abrasive substance as it may remove the clear coat if your coach is painted. It sort of sounds like the rear of your coach was not protected with a coat of wax so the mud was allowed to penetrate the surface. I would not use anything that does not say that it is "clear coat" safe. Perhaps a medium clay bar would work with a minimal amount of effort. Just be sure to use the clay bar with plenty of water to lubricate and wash away the debris. After the coach is clean, apply a good coat of wax to protect the surface.

Wash Wax All sells a non abrasive scrubber Aero Scrubber, that will not damage the clear coat. I have used it on both of my cars to take off very hard to remove bugs (we get a LOT of them).

WOW, WOW, WOW, Bar Keeper's, keep this name in mind. This stuff is just amazing. I just put some on a sponge, not even on the scrubbing part and it made a white clean spot in the dirt in no time like you would not beleive.

Forget everything else, I do not know what is in this powder but it makes wonder.

No I need to clean the whole back and put some wax on it. I was also reading about using some ZEP floor stuff, for the back it could be better than normal wax?

You could try FSR (Fiberglass Stain Remover) available from a marine supply shop or maybe Amazon. It would probably take quite a bit but might work. Also I use Star-Brite fiberglass polish occasionally.

The gelcoat actually is porous. Be careful working it too much because you can polish through colored gelcoat down to white and sometimes virtually polish the gelcoat off.

I have a white coach. I find Clorox soft scrub to work great to remove stains. It basically is a mild rubbing compound with a little bleach. I go back and wax after I use th soft scrub

Magic pad did not work. I will go to the store today to see what they have. Not much in Quartzsite.
