We shopped for new this past winter. Looked for several months. Finally found a low mileage 2006 C for under $30,000 that was clean and put together better than anything new we could find new for $70,000 or less. Saved ourselves over $40,000 and a lot of grief. With so many problems with new units it just does not make sense to me to buy new. Since new ones need repairs right off the lot you can save so much money with a good low mileage used one you can afford to pay for any repairs it might need and still be way ahead.
AMEN! We are not looking to buy new at all. But I still want to check build quality. In my view, buying new doesn't make sense for us, especially when you take into account depreciation, taxes, registration, and the state of RI is the 4th most expensive state to own and operate a motor vehicle....
