2015 models would make it the best "B" chassis out there by far, just because it would not just allow for better off-road driving, but a little bit of higher ground clearance so a bump would be less likely to tear off a generator, tank, oil pan, or other low hanging item.

- mlts22Explorer IIWhat I don't understand is why Ford and Chrysler don't offer a 4x4 option. The US still has a lot of terrain where this would be useful, especially for a "B".
I'm sort of hoping Sportsmobile and Quigley have 4x4 retrofit options for the Transit, but everything is up in the air until it comes out next summer. - julievExplorerThat would be the vehicle to make me finally trade my current Sprinter based B. The only thing it doesn't have that we want, is the 4WD!
- mlts22Explorer III think M-B is starting to feel heat from Ford and Fiat. The 2014 Sprinter is still top dog when it comes to features, but having AWD in the 2015 models would make it the best "B" chassis out there by far, just because it would not just allow for better off-road driving, but a little bit of higher ground clearance so a bump would be less likely to tear off a generator, tank, oil pan, or other low hanging item.
- sky_freeExplorerThe European press release says that it will be available with most configurations including the 190 HP 3.0 Liter diesel, higher GVW, long wheelbase, extra high roof, and dual rear wheels. Adds only 135 kg (216 lbs) at the upper end of the range they mention. They are claiming 23.76 mpg with the 3.0 liter, but that is probably with the low roof model. Looks like real progress for that platform.
- NMaceExplorerAren't most of the B's on the 3500 with dual wheels?
Would that not be a 6x6? - GENECOPExplorer IIProbably need a suspension upgrade......doable....
- mockturtleExplorer IISounds great but I wonder if the GVWR will be enough to support a MH, with 4W adding about 500 lbs to an already marginal CCC.
- Golden_HVACExplorerThe Ford Transit in Europe also offers a all wheel drive option. Don't know if the Ford Transit in USA will have all wheel drive or not.
Yes it would be great for those of us who wanted to drive in the snow safely.
Fred. - GENECOPExplorer IIExciting news........all those B's will now give us 4wd option.....
