Also have used them for cell service for many years. I've used the verizonwireless.com website and it is kind of kludgy and often slow...but it worked to do things I needed to do.
Have never really had to deal with the customer service much. The one time that stands out was with investigating texting plan options when daughter moved off to college. In our hometown, 99% of folks use Verizon since they are about only game in town. So, all of her texting was verizon-to-verizon. Off at college, she was texting several carriers. Verizon customer service rep spent time to look at our usage, discuss options and ended up in long run saving me a few bucks per month. So, I was happy with the outcome and service.
