We originally had AT&T many years ago until they insisted I should be able to tell a roaming area from their little 30 mile to an inch coverage map. Then we went to Sprint. All our experience was good though we had a few spots with iffy coverage. Some cg’s in Yellowstone, one near Telluride, and in Jemez Springs, NM. I found in Telluride, though, if I stood on a particular boulder I could get coverage.:) But actually everyone had that problem regardless of who they had.
My son had Verizon and it would benefit him if we switched, so we did. I rarely use the phone but the DW does a lot and she would like to go back to Sprint. Mostly, I think because she seems to be told one thing and gets another, or maybe she gets different stories from different reps. She recently upgraded her phone while we were in OK and was told there was a $30.00 fee and for $10.00 she’d get unlimited texting. So then they tried to charge her extra fees and she contacted our son and he upgraded it and sent it to us there.
Then she got a bill for “over texting” she’d received. So she doesn’t care much for Verizon’s customer service. I don’t like confusion and would sort it out for good, but it’s in my son’s name and somewhat awkward for me to access the information. All I would say is no matter who you go with be sure you thoroughly understand all the little quirks they use to generate more income.
