I want to get a new grill.(I am sold on a Weber Q.) I don't know what size to get. They have a 1000 and 2000 series. (Used to be 120 and 220) So I go looking at all the stores around here (Michigan) that are supposed to have them but being winter here not one of them has any in stock so I can look at them. NO ONE!What size is the surface of the grill area? L X W in inches? I think I can get by with the smaller one but not if it's tiny. It states 192 sq inches so I assume its 12" X 16"??? I want to get the big tank converter, a griddle plate and cover for it. I will just get a small folding table to put it on.Was hoping to get one from Amazon but need to make sure I get the right size.Thanks for any information you have.

Q100.The grill is not square. It is approx. 12' deep x 15" long (180 sq inches).Plenty big for two people.I purchased the smallest one for easier storage.Also, I got rid of the small propane bottles and hook up directly, to the propane outlet on the trailer.Pat

I've had the Q100 for 4 years and it's a great BBQ.

Have the same unit as Jay Pat and ScottG and it serves the two of us fine. We considered the Q200 but it was a bit large and we wanted something that could be stored in minimal space so the Q100 was the one.

I know the people who posted like the smaller one but if I were you I would look at both before making a decision. I used to work at a local sears store and they had them in there, I like the small one esp since there is only the two of us but then what happens if you have another couple over, two eat while the other two wait for their burgers or steaks get cooked? yes, I know the little stores better but performance is still in the back of my mind.

I have the Q120 , got it at Wally World , it has a temp gauge, and comes with a stand. The grill area is large enough to cook food for 4 or more people. Check the Weber web site, you can find all the spec's on each size.

Bob, yes you should remove the regulator as you only want one regulator in the chain. Here's how I did mine and where I bought the parts. Easy job and works great.

One thing to realize, it takes a bit to get used to cooking on it, if you have been using cheap grills. Cast iron grates HOLD the heat. I over cooked several things as I learned to use it... cook at a much lower temp setting than for a grill with steel grates.. Now that I am used to it, I love it..

Thanks everyone, today I ordered the Q 1000, a cover for it, the large tank conversion hose and a griddle plate. No tax and free shipping, can't beat it all for $243.48!

I have the 200 also and am happy with it. My Lodge griddle fits over the cooking area, and I'm also able to use cast iron pans while still having room for grilling. The carry bag, grill, and fold up stand all fit nicely in my front bay. Also added a thermometer, which the 220 had, but the 200 does not.

We have the weber Q200. It works well for us and I use the stand and side shelves all the time. thinking about getting the griddle top for it.

I would get the match for the old Q120. The side shelves are well worth it and because they fold over they don't take up anymore space. We also have the folding stand and between it and the shelves the unit doesn't really need anything else.

I don't think Weber sells them anymore(wisely), but I bought an electric Weber for my enclosed back porch at home. It did a good job of grilling and didn't require charcoal, but it required tools to take it apart to clean it, and never got hot enough. It kind of boiled food. I've had more than one Weber that used Charcoal, and I don't think you can beat them.
