The best kitchen appliance ever invented! When I was a teenager, I had to hard boil eggs for my job. I called home and asked my Mom "how long to I boil eggs for hard boiled?" Her response, "I don't know. You push in the button and when it lights, the eggs are done"....
My mom had an egg cooker that she got as a wedding present years before. When I moved out, she got me my own. I now have her original cooker. It's the one appliance I'd never be without. You can set it up and go off and do other things. No watching the pot boil.
When you buy one, watch out. Some don't actually shut off when the timer goes off, so if you are out of the room, they can overcook and explode the eggs. Also, some have only a beep to tell you it's done, so if you're not in the room when it beeps, you don't know it's done. The best have a beep and a light (that stays on once it's finished cooking) AND have an automatic shut off so your eggs don't overcook.
