Why would anyone want a pressure cooker?

It's minus a zillion degrees outside. Let's talk comfort and health foods. I mentioned that QVC had a PC on sale, Sunday. I have used stovetop and electric pressure cookers for many moons. Yes, I had one blow, about 20 years ago. Had to scrub black bean soup off the ENTIRE kitchen. Anyway, not deterred- I have continued to use them. I will list my top 3 reasons to own a PC:
1. Tough meats, such as corned beef, pork butts will tenderize in less time than other cooking methods. The PC will infuse flavor deep into the fibers of the meat.
2. Whole grains and dry beans. Brown rice, Farro, Spelt(sp?), etc. An electric PC is a wonderful, easy, quick way to cook them. They are very good for you. Honestly, I would not eat as many of them without using my convenient pressure cooker.
3. I use my PC to cook potatoes and hardboiled eggs. The potatoes come out fork-tender, not water logged and infused with flavor. The eggs are easy to peel with a nice yellow yolk. You can cook the spuds and the eggs together for 5 minutes for potato salad.

Anyone else rely on their PC for special recipes?
