Bacon Jam

OH my!, my DGS is going to love this. It wasn't until Scouting that he really developed a taste for bacon and now he loves almost anything bacon flavored. I think if he could put bacon on his bacon and double the flavor he would. I'm going to find a recipe and give him a pound of thick sliced and the rest of the ingredients.

He has passed on a bacon flavored soda that his favorite sweets shop carries and I pass on the bacon flavored beer.

Bacon jam... I cant belive I've never heard of it. I'm on a mission to find the perfect recipe. Bacon rules

Holy smokes does bacon jelly sound good! I love odd flavored jellies, and am currently burning through a jar of habanero jelly...literally.

I bought mine in a jar from HEB grocery in TX. But there are recipes for making it and it sounds fairly easy.

Interesting. I've always heard there was a meat mincemeat, but down here it's an apple based spicy filling for pie, mincemeat pie.

My vote is spread it on pancakes and drizzle with maple syrup.

Okay this one's got my attention. Old Biscuit are there proportions you use for this or is it supposed to be just thrown together for taste?

Here's a novel idea... Do a search for "Bacon Jam" or "Recipe: Bacon Jam" and the search will turn up links. Go to the links and read what folks are using bacon jam on. Try a few that sound good and you might have some new uses for bacon jam.
