I make a blackberry cobbler more or less from "Joy of Cooking."
Cook and thicken the berries with sugar and corn starch. I like a little cinnamon in the berries, too. It's one of the few things that I make without a strict recipe.
I like a cobbler with lots of biscuit, my wife prefers heavy on the berries. So we make it work.
