Bumper crop of figs
Our one fig tree has got a bumper crop of large very sweet figs and I have cooked down about ten quarts in simple sugar syrup and frozen them for use latter in the year. If I don't pick them the birds...

I googled these cookies, as I had never heard of them--they sound divine! If you get the recipe from your Aunt, it would certainly be a treasure. I am going to try and find some online to order.
