We do bacon-wrapped hotdogs. Thick bacon, whatever hotdog you want, all wrapped in foil and right onto the coals or grill.
I also take boneless/skinless chicken breast, cover in cheese/broccoli soup, baked in the oven.
Tacos in a bag are a huge hit. All the same stuff, no taco shells to worry about. Easy to clean up too!
I purchased a dutch oven this week. Each of the kids got to pick a meal they want to call their own. They like to help make a meal sometimes. We watched a bunch of videos on youtube, they each have their favourite and the others have agreed to try. Fun names like "Dan's (insert child's name) famous..."
- Cherry Coke chicken
- Mountain man breakfast - I believe this is being renamed cowgirl breakfast ;)
- Easy cheesy meat and potatoes.
They always manage to eat stew when we camp. Nothing fancy, other than I put a piece of bread in the bowl first, then hot stew right on top.
Grandpa made them fried bologna sandwiches two years ago. I get this request a few times each summer.
We also switched to the slider burgers - both chicken and beef. This is a bit of a novelty, something we only do when camping.
