Can you recommend a EZ rice....

Success Rice has a brown rice that I like. It is a boil in the bag for 5 minutes thing. Better than Uncle Bens.

this doesn't help with your timing, but cooking your rice in broth (beef, chicken, or vegetable) gives it a much better flavor.

I have been trying to learn to like brown rice due to the fact it is healthier for you.

What I did is add a 1/4 or so of brown rice to the white rice and then I kept increasing it. I'm still not 100% brown but I feel that eating some of it is better than none! :C

I cook regular brown rice (takes about an hour), then I will divide into individual containers and freeze. It takes about 1 minute in the zapper and you have perfectly cooked, warm brown rice to go with whatever you are making. Also, before cooking, I will add about 2 tsp butter to the bottom of the pot and brown the rice. This gives it a great taste.

My mom puts hers in sandwich size baggies and freezes them flat, then stands them up in a basket in her freezer compartment. There is enough for at least 2 people. DO NOT RE-WARM IN THE BAGGIE in the microwave.

Well, I know you said less than 25 minutes, but unless it's pre-cooked or instant I'm not sure you're going to find an equivalent. What DH and I found is that making plain white, long grain rice in our Pampered Chef Microwave Rice Cooker turns out FANTASTIC! Same measurements - 1 cup of rice to 2 cups of water, dash of salt and 1 TB of real butter - put it all in the MW PC cooker together, place in MW - High for 5 minutes, then 15 minutes of power level 7.Yummmmm - we like this better than our brown, whole grain rice, but to be fair we haven't tried brown rice in the cooker yet. I'm buying one of these PC MW Rice Cooker for the fifth wheel too.

I tried that and couldn't get past the 'plastic bag taste' the rice had.
