After 20 plus years of camping I had never even heard of the pie irons. Someone told me about them about five years ago and we got one. They are truly a great addition to the menu!
We started off just making fruit pies and they were great! (Blueberry is my fav.) Then we tried breakfast pies and they were even better! Then we tried pizza pies and they are, without a doubt, the best! They make a great handheld pizza pie gem! Use a lot of shredded cheese. Nothing like gooey, stringy cheese in every bite!
