Wanda...what a wonderful gift being able to share moments like this together
Our grandchildren always come at some time before christmas to bake. Sometimes all together, sometimes one at a time.
Last year we had all five (10, 9, 7, 5 and 2) around our kitchen island.
They do a special treat with grandpa. I think grandpa enjoys it as much as the kids. He bakes 5 seperate gingerbread houses, one for each of them. We had baked 5 doz cookies and 5 doz tiny cupcakes Each child had their own 6 dishes of coloured icing and each had a bowl full of various candies.
The fun began. For the next 3 hours we had kids covered with coloured icing. Both icing and candy in mouths and hair.
The end result was, each child had a dozen cookies and a dozen small cupcakes to share with whosoever they like. They each had a special grandpa house to take home.
After baths or showers all 5 of them were clean and happy, snuggled up with Grandpa watching a movie eating popcorn all while the christmas lights twinkled and nana cleaned up the kitchen.
I look forward to this weekend when we start all over again.
