I don't have kids myself yet, but I distinctly remember coming home everyday from kindergarten and my Mom would have the roll out cookie dough ready for me to do cut out cookies.
I loved it so much and I remember really trying to place the cookie cutter close to the edge, like she tried to teach me, but sometimes I would accidentally place the cutter toward the middle. I would just know that I'd get reminded to stay close to the edges, but she would just say, "It's okay, just try to remember." I love her! And I really love this fun memory!
When I asked her about this recently, she said she did that a couple of times, each Christmas, but definitely not everyday. I guess it was such a good memory, I really thought it was more often.
