Clam Chowder
Does anyone have a really really thick clam chowder recipe? I know I can search online, but figured I'd ask all you fine folk here. Can you image, I live in New England but never made it?! Thanks! ...

I made an awesome clam chowder - nice and thick! Otis was hesitant - I don't have a good track record with new recipes, but he loved it. Agnes
THICK & CREAMY CLAM CHOWDER
bacon
1 chopped onion
2 (5 ounce) cans baby clams, with juice reserved
5 potatoes, cubed
2 (10 1/2 ounce) cans cream of celery soup
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon butter
Cook bacon, then crumble. Discard 1/2 the grease.
Add onion and cook until translucent.
Add clam juice from both cans and add potatoes.
Cook and cover until potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes.
Stir occasionally.
Add clams, soup, cream, milk and stir.
Add butter and let melt into the chowder.
Cook for about 30 minutes or until thickened.
Stir occasionally.
